Total Quality Commitment

In our effort to maintain the high quality of our work, A&R is ISO-9002 certified we have a dual commitment to excellence with Total Quality Management and active Quality Assurance supervision and inspectors. This approach involves each employee throughout the manufacturing process and meets the strict requirements of MIL-I-45208. A & R Engineering is ISO9000 document certified.

All of our work meets the same requirements for quality to your specifications. We have put into place a Quality Assurance System, which satisfies the Contractor and Sub-contractor requirements for MIL-I-45208. Simple or complex parts, let A&R make your next run. We utilize this system on all of our jobs from the receipt of your drawings through to our packaging and shipping operation. As each operation is performed, each employee has the responsibility for reviewing the previous operation as well as insuring the accuracy of their own work. Our QC inspectors monitor each job from receipt of materials and specifications to Final Operation inspection and proper shipping. In addition, we monitor our sub-contractors and inspect all work as it is returned to us from our vendors.

All of our inspection instruments and equipment are calibrated traceable to the Institute of Standards and Technology. We maintain calibration records on company owned tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and measuring equipment, which includes a Brown & Sharpe CMM Microval as well as those of our employees. These records indicate the date inspected method and results of inspection, and calibration interval.

Our dual approach to total Quality has proven successful within our own operations as well as shown its value to our customers.

We are proud to announce that A & R Engineering, Inc. has completed the State of Maryland's I.S.O. Consortium training program and we have already been document certified for the I.S.O. 9002 as of April 24, 1996.

Production Control

In the past thirteen years of growth, A & R Engineering has progressed from an Owner/ Operator shop to a growth oriented company with production skills and controls which exceed most larger companies. We utilize PC's not only with the Shop equipment but to record, track, and analyze the progress of each job. The customer is assured that the drawings and related information is current to their request. Our custom designed data base gives us the ability to review past jobs and projects to better anticipate the opportunities which otherwise may be lost.
